President Prabowo Subianto Embarks on Official Visit to Thailand
President Prabowo Subianto Saturday night (05/17) departed for Thailand for an official visit.
The President, accompanied by a limited delegation, took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at around 18:50 western Indonesian time.
During his visit in the “Land of the White Elephant,” the President is scheduled to carry out a series of important agendas aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Head of State is also planned to have an official meeting with the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, followed by a formal welcoming ceremony by the Prime Minister of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra, followed by a bilateral meeting between delegations of both countries.
This official visit reflects the President’ commitment to reinforcing Indonesia’s strategic partnerships with friendly countries in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, which has been an important partner in various strategic fields. (BPMI) (EST/EP)
