Australian PM arrives in Jakarta for a work visit, Thursday evening (02/05).

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived in Jakarta, Thursday evening (02/05), for an official working visit to Indonesia. The aircraft landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at approximately 6:50 p.m. local time.

Upon disembarking, Prime Minister Albanese was welcomed by, among others, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries Rosan Roeslani, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Rod Brazier, Indonesian Ambassador to Australia Siswo Pramono, and Australian Defence Attaché Brigadier Micah Batt.

The welcoming ceremony was conducted with full honors, featuring a guard of honor standing along the route to the official vehicle. The atmosphere grew more ceremonial as Prime Minister Albanese walked past the honor guard accompanied by military drum band music, marking the formal reception of the head of government of a friendly nation.

Following the welcoming procession, Prime Minister Albanese and his delegation proceeded directly to the hotel where he will stay during his visit in Jakarta.

As part of the working visit agenda, Prime Minister Albanese is scheduled to be officially received by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (02/06).
