President Prabowo Inaugurates Members of National Energy Council

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurates members of National Energy Council at the State Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday (01/28).

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (01/28) inaugurated members of National Energy Council at the State Palace in Jakarta. The appointed members were representing both the Government and stakeholders.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 134/P of 2025 on the Dismissal and Appointment Members of the National Energy Council from Stakeholders, as well as Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6/P of 2026 on the Appointment of Members of the National Energy Council from the Government.

The inaugurated members of the National Energy Council representing the Government are as follows:

1. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources as the Daily Chairperson of National Energy Council;
2. Minister of Finance as Member of National Energy Council;
3. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency as Member of National Energy Council;
4. Minister of Transportation as Member of National Energy Council;
5. Minister of Industry as Member of National Energy Council;
6. Minister of Agriculture as Member of National Energy Council;
7. Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology as Member of National Energy Council; and
8. Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency as Member of National Energy Council.

Meanwhile, the inaugurated members of the National Energy Council representing the stakeholders are as follows:

1. Johni Jonatan Numberi;
2. Mohammad Fadhil Hasan;
3. Satya Widya Yudha;
4. Sripeni Inten Cahyani;
5. Unggul Priyanto;
6. Saleh Abdurrahman;
7. Muhammad Kholid Syeirazi; and
8. Surono.

On the occasion, the President led the swearing-in ceremony of the Daily Chairperson and Members of National Energy Council.

“I do solemnly swear that I will bear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible for the service to the state and the nation, that in carrying out my duties, I will uphold professional code of conduct, work to the best of my ability with a full sense of responsibility,” President Prabowo read the oath to the aforementioned names.

Following the administration of the oath of office, the signing of the official minutes was taken and concluded with President Prabowo Subianto and the Vice President Gibran Rakabuming congratulated the inaugurated Daily Chairperson and members of National Energy Council, followed by the invitees.

Also attending the inauguration were the members of the Red and White Cabinet, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) Gen. Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (YA/AW)
