President Prabowo Subianto Visits Gelora Delta Stadium in East Java

The atmosphere was lively and full of enthusiasm as President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Gelora Delta Stadium, Sidoarjo regency, East Java province, on Monday (03/17).

Hundreds of children in the stadium cheered excitedly and waved their hands as the President arrived. President Prabowo smiled warmly while waving back at the children. He also personally approached the children and had a conversation with them.

Several children in the front row had the opportunity to shake hands with the President. This moment of closeness symbolizes great hope for the nation’s future, especially for the younger generation in football.

On that occasion, President Prabowo inaugurated the renovation and construction of 17 stadiums across Indonesia, marking the Government’s commitment to improving national sports infrastructure.

In the meantime, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo explained that the 17 stadiums include 16 renovated stadiums and one newly built stadium.

“We carried out the project in approximately 12 months. The total budget for renovating the 16 stadiums and constructing the new one is approximately Rp 1.7 trillion,” the Minister said.

The 17 stadiums inaugurated by the President were:

  1. Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium, Palembang City
  2. Indomilk Arena, Tangerang Regency
  3. Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency
  4. Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Bekasi Regency
  5. Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi City
  6. Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City
  7. Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman Regency
  8. Jati Diri Stadium, Semarang City
  9. Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium, Jepara Regency
  10. Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency
  11. Surajaya Stadium, Lamongan Regency
  12. Gelora Delta Stadium, Sidoarjo Regency
  13. Gelora Ratu Madura Pamelingan Stadium, Pamekasan Regency
  14. Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik Regency
  15. Demang Lehman Stadium, Banjar Regency
  16. Segiri Stadium, Samarinda City
  17. B.J. Habibie Stadium, Parepare City

Dody stated that all 17 stadiums have been certified by PSSI and FIFA. He expressed hope that the renovation and construction would improve the development of sports in Indonesia, particularly football.

“We hope that young talents can flourish, and President Prabowo’s great vision of the Golden Indonesia 2045 can be achieved soon,” he remarked. (BPMI Setpres) (RI/LW)
