President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Zurich International Airport, Switzerland, on Wednesday (1/21), at around 17.55 local time, to kick off a series of important agendas during his working visit to Switzerland. Upon arrival, President Prabowo was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein H.E. I Gede Ngurah Swajaya and the Indonesian defense attaché in Paris Air Marshal Hendra Gunawan.

The Presidential Aircraft carrying Presiden Prabowo and his delegation departed from London Stansted Airport, London, England, on a flight of approximately one hour and thirty minutes to Zurich. President Prabowo was accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary during the flight.

From the airport, President Prabowo and his delegation went directly to their designated hotel in Switzerland. During this visit, the Head of State is scheduled to attend and actively participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, in a press statement, stated that President Prabowo will deliver a special address at the WEF Annual Meeting 2026, which will be attended by more than 65 heads of state and government, as well as 1,000 CEOs of major global companies. According to Teddy, President Prabowo will elaborate on the economic ideas he has designed and implemented, both before and during his presidency.

“Basically, President Prabowo will talk about concepts of economic thinking that he has and been implementing, both before becoming President and since becoming President up to now. President Prabowo will also convey the achievements of his administration so far. President calls this Prabowonomics, you will see it tomorrow,” stated Teddy to the press at London Stansted Airport, United Kingdom, before departing for Zurich.

For context, the World Economic Forum is a non-profit international organization with multi-stakeholder participation that encourages cooperation among global leaders to address world challenges through dialogue and cross-sector collaboration. The WEF Annual Meeting 2026 carries the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” which emphasizes the importance of an open and collaborative dialogue spirit in the midst of global economic uncertainty and geopolitical dynamics.

Indonesia participation at the WEF 2026 becomes a strategic momentum to emphasized Indonesia’s positions in the global supply chain, strengthen its image and investment opportunities, as well as to attract investor commitment in the green energy, digital economic, and other strategic sectors. Meanwhile, Indonesia is also hosting Indonesia Pavilion on January 19—23 and Indonesia Night on January 21, to facilitate direct engagement and strengthen networking to encourage investment in Indonesia.

President Prabowo’s presence at the WEF Annual Meeting 2026 underscores Indonesia’s commitment to staying actively involved in global dialogue and multilateral collaboration, while advocating national interests in the midst of global challenge and uncertainty.
