Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at Inauguration of Mayapada Hospital Nusantara, New Capital of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan Province, October 11, 2024

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Distinguished ministers in attendance,

Commander of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI), Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Head of IKN Authority,

Distinguished Founder of Mayapada Group, Profesor Datuk Sri Tahir, M.B.A. , and  Jonathan Tahir, the CEO of Mayapada Healthcare,

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

Both local and foreign investors who intend to invest to the new capital of Nusantara (IKN), including three major investors from Australia, Delonix Group China, and Magnum Russia always raise two questions; “Sir, If I move here and I bring along my children, are there schools here?” “And if we are sick after being relocated, is there any quality hospital?”.

Now, I can answer their questions. There is Mayapada Hospital, Mayapada Hospital Nusantara which has great service and international standards. I can assure you that because the hospital cooperates with Apollo Hospital India. Thus, from now on, Pak Basuki and Pak Raja Juli can tell investors that we have a hospital here and soon we will have a school which the construction is still undergoing.

I also highly appreciate Mayapada Group for supporting the development of Nusantara and providing trust to the state civil apparatus and the people in general who intend to move to the Nusantara, as well as to investors who want to invest in Nusantara.

That concludes my remarks. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I inaugurate Mayapada Hospital Nusantara, in the IKN.
