President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that law enforcement is the key to safeguarding the wealth of the nation and the state, and serves as a foundation for achieving people’s welfare. The President also highlighted that without proper management and protection of state wealth, it would be impossible to ensure people’s welfare.

“Law is the instrument to keep the wealth of the nation and the state. Without this wealth, our people can’t live in prosperity,” said the President in his remarks at the handover of administrative fines, recovery of state finances, and reclamation of forest areas phase VI, held at the Attorney General’s Office Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (4/10).

On that occasion, the President also highlighted that violations such as corruption, smuggling, illegal mining, and abuse of authority remain challenges that must be addressed collectively. The Head of State also stressed that the Government would not hesitate to exercise its full constitutional authority to enforce the law firmly and without discrimination.

“I will use all the authority and power granted by the 1945 Constitution to the President. I will use them to enforce the law, Ladies and Gentlemen, without discrimination, regardless of who is involved,” said the President.

The President also gave direct orders to relevant stakeholders, including law enforcement officers and ministries/agencies, to strengthen their coordination in eradicating all forms of violations that are detrimental to the state. Moreover, the President emphasized that safeguarding the nation’s wealth is not solely the responsibility of the Government, but a form of service by all state officials to the people.

“How many thousands of times must I stress this, working in the government sector is a sacrifice and dedication. For far too long, the nation and people’s wealth has been plundered, far too long,” said the President.

In the midst of many challenges, the President called on all elements of the nation to uphold the values of honesty, justice, and commitment to the people. “The firmer we are, the more resolute we become, the more we stand up for the people, the more we will be opposed and attacked,” he affirmed.

The President then concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of nationalism as the key driver of national development and economic growth. Through strong and consistent law enforcement, the Government is committed to ensuring that the nation’s wealth is managed optimally and utilized for the prosperity of all Indonesians.

The President also called on all elements of the nation to strengthen nationalism, uphold honesty and justice, and stand firm in defending people’s interests. The Government is committed to managing every part of the nation’s wealth optimally and returning as much as possible for the prosperity of the people.
