President Prabowo Leaves Osaka, Continues Journey to New York for UN General Assembly Remarks

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, departed from Osaka, Japan, to New York, United States, on Saturday (09/20). The departure followed his visit to the Indonesia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
From Kansai International Airport in Osaka, the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his limited delegation took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York at approximately 16:15 local time.
Seeing the President off were Former Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan Keiichi Ichikawa and Ambassador in Charge of the Kansai Region Yasushi Misawa. Also present at the send-off were Indonesian Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Maria Renata Hutagalung, Indonesian Consul General for Osaka John Tjahjanto Boestami, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Tokyo Rear Admiral Hidayaturrahman.
During his visit to New York, President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver a speech during the General Debate Session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). In addition, the Head of State is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with a number of world leaders.
President Prabowo’s participation in this international forum underscores Indonesia’s commitment to continue playing an active role in maintaining peace, strengthening global cooperation, and advancing national interests on the world stage. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (AS/MUR)
