President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (10/02) inspected the Indonesian Navy hospital ship KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat (RJW-992) during a ceremony held at the Military Sealift Command headquarters in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

Upon arrival, the President was greeted with a guard of honor before receiving a report from the ship’s commanding officer.

The Head of State then boarded the vessel, which subsequently set sail into Jakarta Bay.

During the ceremony, the President conferred the Star of Yudha Dharma Pratama, one of the country’s highest military honors, to three senior officers of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI).

The recipients of the decoration were:

  1. Major General (TNI) Bangun Nawoko, Commander of Infantry Division 3 of the Army Strategic Reserve Command, recognized under Presidential Decree No. 44/TK/TH 2025.
  2. Rear Admiral (TNI) Fauzi, S.E., M.M., M.Tr. Opsla., M.Han, Commander of Fleet Command I, recognized under Presidential Decree No. 61/TK/TH 2025.
  3. Air Marshal (TNI) Benny Arfan, M.MP., M.M.D.S., MSS, Deputy Commander of the Air Force Education and Training Command, recognized under Presidential Decree No. 100/TK/TH 2025.

The Head of State also presented the Samkarya Nugraha to 12 military units in recognition of their exemplary service, as stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 101/TK/2025. The awardees include:

  1. ⁠Special Forces Command Unit 71
  2. Infantry Battalion 328/DGH/17/1/Kostrad
  3. Infantry Battalion 330/TD/17/1 Kostrad
  4. Military District Command 1504/Ambon/Kodam XV/Pattimura
  5. Jala Mangkara Detachment of the Indonesian Navy
  6. Hospital Ship KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992, Naval Task Force Command I
  7. Warship KRI Karel Satsuit Tubun-356, Naval Task Force Command II
  8. Naval Base Tanjung Balai Karimun, Naval Area Command IV Batam
  9. Raden Sadjad Air Force Base
  10. Air Squadron 6, Air Wing 4, Atang Sendjaya Air Force Base
  11. Education Squadron 102, Adi Sutjipto Air Force Base
  12. Maintenance Depot 70, Sulaiman Air Force Base

In his remarks, the President underscored that the Samkarya Nugraha awards represent the highest form of recognition from the Head of State, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Defense Forces.

“Safeguard the honor of our nation and state. Always put service to the country and the people above everything. Never betray Indonesia, its people, or its sovereignty,” the Head of State said.

Following the award ceremony, the President observed a naval demonstration and sailing pass from the helicopter deck of the vessel. The maritime showcase featured special operations forces of the Indonesian Navy, a naval fleet formation, aerial displays by Navy aircraft, and demonstrations of soldier combat capabilities.

The display was intended to highlight the preparedness of Indonesia’s naval forces in defending the nation’s maritime sovereignty and strengthening national defense. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (GWH/EP)
