14 Ports to Provide Freight Transport Single Submission Services

Starting Thursday (09/01), at least fourteen ports across Indonesia will provide Freight Transport Single Submission and Single Submission Quarantine Customs services.

“The services are in line with the agreement stipulated in the Integrity Pact signed by all relevant agencies on August 22, 2022,” Secretary of the National Single Window Agency Muhamad Lukman said in his official statement, Thursday (09/01).

The Freight Transport Single Submission services will be provided in Belawan Port, Tanjung Priok Port, Tanjung Perak Port, Makassar Port, Batam Port, Dumai Port, Panjang Port, Banten Port, Tanjung Emas Port, Balikpapan Port, Palembang Port, Pontianak Port, Kendari Port, and Samarinda Port, while Single Submission Quarantine Customs services will be provided in Tanjung Priok Port, Belawan Port, Surabaya Port, Makassar Port, Semarang Port, Lampung Port, Pekanbaru Port, Palembang Port, Pontianak Port, Balikpapan Port, Batam Port, Cilegon Port, Samarinda Port, and Kendari Port.

In order to ensure the smooth provision of the Freight Transport Single Submission and Single Submission Quarantine Customs services, all relevant agencies will provide on-site and online help desk services to handle any complaint from service users regarding problems in providing the two services in every region.

“All stakeholders will also carry out coordination and communication measures, as well as system dissemination on the implementation of Freight Transport Single Submission and Single Submission Quarantine Customs in their working areas,” Lukman said.

Lukman added that monitoring and evaluation of system implementation will be carried out regularly, along with inter-stakeholder reconciliation to minimize data discrepancies. (PR of Ministry of Finance/UN) (RI/EP)
