Cabinet Secretary: The President Wants Ensure the Prices of Basic Materials Not Bothersome Community

Although the work schedule of Civil State Apparatus (ASN) changes during the fasting month of Ramadan, the Cabinet Secretary, Andi Widjajanto conveys that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice of President Jusuf Kalla will work normally.

“The activities of President would like ordinary days,” Andi said while attending a gathering welcomes of Ramadan with the entire staff of the Cabinet Secretariat, in the hall of Building III State Secretariat, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/6) afternoon.

According to Cabinet Secretary, President Jokowi will do many things during the fasting month of Ramadan. The first, Cabinet Secretary said, monitoring the prices in the market during the month of Ramadan.

“In order on the one hand people are not bothersome but on the other hand, once a year makes farmers and fishermen earn more because there is an increase from food prices,” Andi said.

Secondly, President Jokowi will pay attention to the road infrastructure especially in Java for the implementation of Eid and the implementation of homecoming will run smoothly.

“We are trying in order that the number of motor vehicle accidents during the homecoming down dramatically,” said Andi as he mentioned, this homecoming season will be monitored continuously, whether on land, sea, or air.

Besides those two things, said Cabinet Secretary, the President, the Vice President, and the ministers will pay attention to macroeconomic developments, so the rupiah does not continue to fall.

Following the steps taken by President Jokowi, Cabinet Secretary, Andi Widjajanto asked employees in the ranks of the Cabinet Secretariat, the reduction of working hours during the fasting month of Ramadan should not reduce the performance and quality of service to the President and Vice President.

Awards

On this occasion Cabinet Secretary, Andi Widjajanto also presented the award from the State Personnel Agency (BKN) to the Cabinet Secretary as the second best in the category Planning of Personnel in the Ministry and Institution of Non Ministry in 2015.

Moreover, it also submitted the results of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), which gives unqualified opinion (WTP) to the Cabinet Secretariat financial statements of 2014.
