On Santri Day (Islamic Students Day), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conducted a working visit to Banten Province on Saturday (22/10). President Joko Widodo and the entourage headed to Cilegon, Banten, from Indonesian Air Force Base Atang Sendjaja, Bogor, West Java, aboard the Super Puma helicopter belonging to Indonesian Air Force, approximately at 14.10 p.m.
Upon the arrival at Cilegon, President Joko Widodo set off straight to Al-Khairiya College located in Citangkil, Cilegon, in order to have a silaturahmi (a friendly social call) with all the participants of the 9th Conference of Al-Khairiyah Executive board.
In the evening, President Jokowi was scheduled to attend the first celebration of Santri Day and open the 7th National Sports and Arts Week for Pesantren/Islamic Boarding Schools (POSPENAS) of 2016 at Maulana Yusuf Stadium, Ciceri, Serang.
