President Jokowi: Japan is Indonesias Strategic Partner in Various Sectors

Japan is a strategic partner of Indonesia in various fields especially in the field of economy, such as trade and investment. It was enunciated by President Joko Jokowi Widodo during a bilateral meeting between the delegation of the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Japan led by its Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Sunday (15/1) afternoon.
President Jokowi also believes that in this bilateral meeting, Indonesia and Japan will discuss a wide range of cooperation that benefits both countries. “The bilateral meeting is of particular importance amid a variety of new developments of the world,” the President said.
Previously, to begin the meeting, President Jokowi admitted that he is happy to be reunited with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the 6th time in less than two years. The visit of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is the first state visit that President Jokowi received in 2017.
President Jokowi also said that prior to a bilateral meeting, he and Prime Minister Abe had a veranda talk to discuss the new situation of the world.
Feel Honored
Meanwhile, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that he is very honored and delighted when entering the Presidential Palace in Bogor in which he thinks it is wonderful, greeted by children dressed in Indonesian traditional costume and deer running around.
“I would like to deepen cooperation in various fields and exchange views on a wide range of challenges, to encourage increased cooperation between Indonesia and Japan,” Abe said. (DND / ES) (MUR/YM/Naster).
