President Jokowi Inspects Land for “Kulonprogo” New Airport

President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, on Friday (27/1) at 07.35 a.m., left from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Yogyakarta on a Presidential Aircraft.

Upon his arrival, President Jokowi and his entourage will head to Kulonprogo. “President Jokowi will inspect the preparation of babat alas nawung kridha (land clearing) for the construction of Yogyakarta International Airport,” Head of Bureau for Press, Media, and Information Affairs, Secretariat of the President, Bey Machmudin said in a press release.

The President and his entourage, after performing Friday prayer and having lunch, will head to a vocational school in Kulonprogo to distribute the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP). President Jokowi will also conduct such distribution in a vocational school in Magelang,” Bey added.

To conclude his working visit in Magelang, the President will have a silaturahmi (amicable gathering) with students of Taruna Nusantara High School.

Also accompanying President Jokowi during the working visit in Yogyakarta were First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Head of Presidential Secretariat Darmansjah Djumala, and Presidential Special Staff Ari Dwipayana.
