Muhammadiyah Youth: Potential of ASN Position Trade Transaction is Rp44 T
Chairman of the Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak answers reporters after meeting with President Jokowi, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (20/2) afternoon.
In addition to receiving a visit of the Executive Board (PB) of the Islamic Students Association (HMI), President Joko Jokowi Widodo also received a visit of the Central Executive (PP) of Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (20/2) afternoon. On that occasion, Chairman of PP Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak was accompanied by its members, while President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
Chairman of PP Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said that during the meeting, a number of issues of national concerns were discussed, among others, the issue of integrity which is currently facing Indonesia.
According to Dahnil, Indonesia has many smart people who are experts in their respective fields. However, only few people who have integrity. “We underscored the point of anti-corruption vision that certainly continues to be treated by Pak Jokowi,” Dahnil said.
Moreover, PP Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing also invited President Jokowi to join a program organized by PP Muhammadiyahs Youth Wing along with other religious groups, that is, to hold a clean-up activities of houses of worship. We will clean up houses of worship on 28 February, one of which is a church in Jakarta. This program has lasted for one year,” Dahnil added.
When meeting with President Jokowi, PP Muhammadiyah Youths Wing also conveyed the findings of a research by Youth Anti-corruption Madrasah regarding the practices of the State Civil Administrative (ASN) position trade transaction. “There is a potential position trade with the number of transactions amounted to Rp44 trillion,” Dahnil told reporters after meeting with President Jokowi.
According to Dahnil, the research which was conducted in ten regencies/cities found the potential of the ASN position trade transaction starting from Rp400 million to Rp1 billion.
In response to the findings, Dahnil said that President Jokowi would pay serious attention to this issue. President Jokowi, Dahnil further explained, is committed to continue to combat corruption and extortion practices. “So comrades, in principle Pak Jokowi wants to combat those practices,” Dahnil concluded.
