President Jokowi: If not Serviced Properly, Tell Me

Amidst a series of working visits in Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi, distributed the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), Aspiring Family Program (PKH), and Supplemental Nutrition Program (PMT), on Saturday (25/3) afternoon.

As stated by President Jokowi, the number of KIS recipients is 706 children. “For Elementary School (SD) students, they receive Rp450,000.-, Junior High School (SMP) students Rp750,000.-, Senior High/Vocational School (SMA/ SMK) students Rp1 million,” the President said.

Furthermore, the President said that the KIP funds can only be used for school purposes and should not be used to buy phone credits, if caught, then the card will be revoked. “For one to three-month pregnant women, they just have 2 pieces of biscuits per day, while three pieces per day for four to nine-month pregnant women. For toddlers until eleven months, eight pieces per day, one to five years 12 pieces per day,” the President said and also reminded all that besides the PMT, they still need to consume protein from foods such as tofu, tempeh (a fermented soybean cake), and eggs.

For school-age children, the President added, the proportion is 6 pieces of biscuits per day. “For the PKH recipient, they will receive Rp1,890,000.- per year and the money can be withdrawn per three months in BRI,” the President continued.

With regard to the KIS, the President said, it can be used for treatment to Puskesmas (a community health center) and hospitals free of charge. “If not serviced properly, please report to the Regent, if not succedeed then report to the Governor, if still not, then report to the Minister of Health Ibu Nila Moeloek, and if still not, please report it to me and I will replace them,” the President concluded.

The symbolic handover of KIS, KIP, PKH, and PMT to the recipients was conducted by Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, and Chairman of the Social Security Provider Body (BPJS) for Health Fahmi Idris.

Accompanying the President and First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi during the working visit to Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, and North Sumatra Governor Tengku Erry Nuradi.
