Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati expressed her appreciation to the Taxpayers who have contributed greatly to Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) target revenue in 2017, and obeyed tax regulations.

“I would like to thank, congratulate, and appreciate all taxpayers who are invited today to get the award from Directorate General of Taxes, in this case the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for Large Taxpayers for tax obligation 2017,” said Minister of Finance while attending the 2018 Large Taxpayers Appreciation Award at 2nd Floor Hall of Dr. K.R.T Radjiman Wedyodiningrat Building, Directorate General of Taxes, Jakarta, Tuesday (13/3) morning.

According to the Minister of Finance, these taxpayers’ contribution is very significant for the overall state revenue from tax sector. Therefore, the Minister emphasized that this kind of support is very important, considering the taxpayers registered in the Regional Office of DJP for Large Taxpayers are large-scale taxpayers so that the problems faced are also often very complex.

“I have asked the Director General and all of his staffs to improve our professionalism and ability to serve and run tasks so our friends in the business world would not feel worried or intimidated,” the Minister added.

The award was handed over personally by the Minister of Finance and Director General of Taxes, accompanied by Head of DJP Office for Large Taxpayer and Heads of related Tax Service Branches (KPP).

Hopefully through this award, taxpayers can be more eager to obey their rights and obligations and will contribute better in 2018. As for other taxpayers, this award is expected to encourage them to get the similar award later in 2019.

“I hope this good cooperation can be strengthened continuously, because a developed country is a country where trust between the government, business community and society is well maintained. It is one of the most important conditions for this country to advance together,” added the Minister.
