Weekend, President Joko Widodo Cycling in Sudirman Road

After attending the graduation of his son, Kaesang Pangarep, at Anglo-Chinese School International (ACSI) in Singapore, on Friday (21/11), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) returns to Jakarta on Saturday (22/11) and begins his weekend by cycling on Sudirman – MH Thamrin road.

The crowds there are surprise with President arrival. “I have the opportunity to meet people there. It is great to meet and chat with them”, says Jokowi through his fanpage on Facebook, Sunday (23/11).

As previously reported, President Jokowi accompanied by the First Lady Iriana Widodo, on Friday (21/11) flew to Singapore with Garuda Indonesia airline, economy class. Before their return to homeland on Saturday (22/11), they have breakfast with the President of Singapore Lee Hsien Liong.

Responds from Media in Singapore

 

The presence of President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana in their son’s graduation did not escape from local media. They describe the happiness of President Jokowi family as the happiness of a father who are very proud to see their children graduate from school.

“Both accompanied by the Indonesian Ambassador for Singapore Andri Hadi, are very proud to see their youngest child Kaesang Pangarep, 19 yo, walk up the stage to receive certificate after completing his studies in ACSI, on Friday evening”, Straits Times wrote on Saturday (22/11).

President Jokowi’s son, Kaesang Pangarep, was among other 146 graduates, in which the event was attended by 600 guests including parents, school staff, Ambassadors, and Security Officials. President Jokowi says that he is very happy and grateful to ACSI for the education process of his son.

While asked about the advice to Kaesang after his graduation, President Jokowi says did not advice anything. “Last year, he says to me wants to continue study to Singapore Management University. But, I am not sure “, says President Jokowi.

Kaesang, himself tells the Straits Times, always get motivation from his father by phone -always pray- as the one he remember most. After completing his school, Kaesang has not know yet where he wants to go. But, the probability he would want to continue to Business Management, regardless his father influence in Furniture business. “No, I influence my self”, he says with smile.(ES)(Ifp)
