Millennials are those who can follow, adapt and anticipate global changes, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said at the opening of the 2019 Green Fest at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Thursday (31/1).

In his remarks, President Jokowi said that the world is changing rapidly in all aspects, including politics, economy and social affairs. Thus, the President asked millennials to keep up with those changes so that Indonesia will not be left behind other countries.

On that occasion, the participants had an opportunity to share their ideas and dreams for the future of Indonesia to President Jokowi. The President appreciated their ideas and was happy listening to their plan to develop their regions.

“However, please do not change Indonesian characteristics and personality. Our country is a country that upholds good ethics as well as manners, and politeness,” the President asserted.

He also invited millennials to build online applications or platforms as the opportunity is now widely open.

The President went on saying that young generation now can enjoy countless opportunities to develop self-knowledge and experience. “Grab those opportunities and stay optimistic,” the President concluded. (FID/JAY/ES)
