President Jokowi Receives Credentials from 11 New Ambassadors

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo received credentials from eleven Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/2).

Accompanied by each country’s national anthem, the eleven Ambassadors in turn arrived at the courtyard of the Presidential Palace. Subsequently, they submitted the Letter of Credence to President Jokowi.

The eleven new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia are:

1. Gustavo Ayares Ossandon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile;
2. Riadh Dridi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia;
3. Jarovlas Chlebo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic;
4. Abas Benz Kono, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Suriname;
5. Carlos Antonio Moreno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau;
6. Juan Camilo Valencia Gonzalez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia;
7. Esam A. Abid Althagafi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
8. Radames Jesus Gomez Azuaje, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela;
9. Jurij Rifelj, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia;
10. Felix Ngoma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and
11. Gediminas Varvuolis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania.

After receiving the credentials, President Jokowi accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung then had a veranda talk with the eleven ambassadors. (FID/OJI/ES)
