Vocational education is crucial to ensure that demographic bonus in Indonesia will bring a positive impact.

Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Human Development and Culture Affairs Yuli Harsono made the statement in his remarks during a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Revitalization of Educational Vocation and Training Programs held by the Office of Deputy to Cabinet Secretary for Human Development and Culture on Friday (5/7).

“We should enhance the workforce’s skills quality in order to induce the skillset alignment with the forthcoming industrial revolution,” Yuli said, adding that he agrees with the President’s policy to provide investment and innovative policies in human resources as a national development priority for the next five years.

“After focusing on infrastructure development, the President’s next focus is on the development of human resources,” Yuli added. (FID/RAH/ES)
