Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati expressed her hopes that the proposal for budget increase of Cabinet Secretariat in 2020 amounting to Rp80,866,106,000 could be further discussed in a meeting toon stipulate ministries/agencies budget allocation in the upcoming year.

This expectation was conveyed by Ratih in her presentation before the members of Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Working Meeting on the 2020 State Budget Bill, in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/9).

According to her, the proposal had been approved by Commission II of the DPR in the previous meetings in July and August 2019.

For the record, budget allocation of Cabinet Secretariat for next year is Rp377,425,145,000. However, the budget ceiling of Cabinet Secretariat based on a joint letter of Minister of Finance and Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of the National Development Planning Agency on 22 July is Rp296,559,039,000.

Therefore, there is a difference of Rp80,866,106,000 and the budget ceiling decreases by 15.74 percent compared to the previous year.

Also attending the working meeting were the DPR Commission II Chairman Zainudin Amali, Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo, and officials from the Agency for the Implementation of State Ideology of Pancasila (BPIP) and the Presidential Staff Office. (MAY/RAH/ES)
