E. Java Vice Speakers Meets President Jokowi at Palace

Upon Cabinet announcement, Vice Speaker of East Java Regional House of Representative (DPRD) Abdul Halim Iskandar was seen coming to the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (22/10) to meet President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

“President Jokowi and I discussed several issues on human development from economic, infrastructure, and social sectors,” Abdul said, adding that he still has no idea what position he will be appointed.

He emphasized that his party the National Awakening Party (PKB) will continue to support the President’s programs.

When being asked whether he will be appointed as Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantages Regions, and Transmigration, Abdul said that it is President Jokowi’s prerogative, while adding that President Jokowi will announce it himself on Wednesday (23/10). (HIM/OJI/ES)
