Defense Ministry Committed to Improve HR

In a bid to realize an advanced Indonesia, Ministry of Defense has committed to continue improving Human Capital Development Program since human resources (HR) are the main component of national defense.

According to Secretary General of Ministry of Defense Vice Admiral Agus Setiadji, the commitment is in line with the national defense policy by creating a more professional Indonesia’s National Defense Forces (TNI).

“The realization (of the commitment) will be focused on increasing the quantity and quality of the TNI personnel through voluntary military recruitment, military soldiers from the community, and by holding education and training programs,” Agus said during a Governmental Public Relations Coordination Board (Bakohumas) Forum in Jakarta, Wednesday (30/10).

He added that another effort is through the development of Minimum Essential Force (MEF) in dealing with threats.

The MEF development, Agus continued, is part of the Government’s priority agenda to protect the entire nation and to provide security to all citizens. (Hen / ES)
