President Jokowi Names 7 Millennials as Presidential Special Staff

President Joko Jokowi Widodo on Thursday (21/11) at the Merdeka Palace introduced seven Special Staff to the President.
The newly-appointed staffs are young people aged between 23 to 36 years or known as millennial generation.
President Jokowi expressed hope that they can give innovative ideas in various fields to develop the country. The new Special Staff to the President are as follow:
- Adamas Belva Syah Devara (29). He received his Master Degree from Harvard University and Stanford University. He is also founder and CEO of education technology startup Ruangguru.
- Putri Indahsari Tanjung (23). She received her Bachelor Degree from San Francisco Academy of Art, USA. She is also CEO of event creator Creativepreneur and Chief Business Officer at Kreavi.
- Andi Taufan Garuda Putra (32). He received his Master Degree from Harvard Kennedy School and is known for his passion on micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). He is also CEO of peer to peer lending fintech Amartha.
- Ayu Kartika Dewi (36). She graduated from Duke University in the US. She is known for her passion on tolerance and is a co-founder of inter-region students exchange program called Sabang-Merauke program.
- Gracia Billy Mambrasar (31). He received his Master Degree from Australian National University and is currently pursuing another Master Degree at Oxford University. The Papuan native is also CEO of a non-profit management consulting Kitong Bisa.
- Angkie Yudistia (32). She is a person with disability and known for her role in social entrepreneurship through Thisable Enterprise. She is also currently a member of Asia-Pacific Federation of the Hard of Hearing and Deafened and International Federation of Hard of Hearing Young People. President Jokowi ordered her especially to be a Presidential Spokesperson in social affairs.
- Aminuddin Ma’ruf (33), He is former chairman of the Islamic Student Movement (PMII), a student organization affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest Muslim organization in the country. President Jokowi ordered him specifically to visit Islamic boarding schools to spread new ideas and innovations.
According to the President, the seven young people will be his discussion partners on every occasion to provide fresh and innovative ideas to find new ways to bring progress for the country. (FID/JAY/ES)
