President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (15/1) in his introductory remarks at a limited meeting on omnibus bills on job creation and taxation ordered his Cabinet to complete omnibus bills this week.

The President has also set a target that omnibus bills must be completed before 100 working days since the cabinet was formed.

“We must meet the set target; therefore, I call for a clear time frame. If there are issues, please raise them and we will address it,” said the President.

The President also instructed the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Chief, State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief, Attorney General, and all related ministries to make an approach to existing organizations.

To that end, submission to the House of Representatives (DPR) and approaches to the existing organizations run parallel, the President added.

“I am also confident that tax reforms to be implemented will become a center of gravity for regional and global economy because we have a higher attraction in a business ecosystem, an investment ecosystem that has enormous impacts on job creation in the country,” the President concluded.
