Indonesian Embassy Assists Indonesian Coronavirus Patient in Singapore

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said that the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore is assisting the Indonesian Citizen in Singapore who has tested positive for coronavirus.

“The patient will be treated in Singapore,” President Jokowi told the reporters at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (5/2).

The President also said that the virus outbreak has caused economic slowdown in several countries, including Indonesia. The detailed data on the economic slowdown, he added, is still being calculated.

The President went on to say that regarding the coronavirus outbreak, the Government’s priority is to protect the national interest.

In the meantime, President Jokowi said that the Government has not made any official decision regarding the former ISIS members from Indonesia who live in other countries. The Government is also calculating the positive and negative sides of the return of the former ISIS members.

“Everything should be calculated in detail and we will definitely take the decision at the Limited Cabinet Meeting,” President Jokowi stated.

Regarding the Omnibus Law, the President said that the Law aims to accelerate policy making to respond to a rapidly-changing world.

At the end of the interview, the President said that the Omnibus Law for job creation will achieve the target if the investment is available both from domestic and international investors. (TGH/EN)
