Indonesia’s Covid-19 Cases Rise to 134, 3 Recover

As of Monday (16/3), Indonesia has recorded 17 new infections of covid-19, bringing the total confirmed cases to 134,  the Government’s spokesperson on covid-19 Achmad Yurianto has announced.

“Based on the latest information, 17 more people tested positive for the virus,” Achmad said during the press statement on Monday (16/3).

According to him, the new cases came from four provinces in the country.

“One is from West Java province, one is from Banten province, one is from Central Java province, and fourteen from Jakarta,” he said.

The new cases were detected from massive tracing in the respective region in accordance with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s directive to find as many cases as possible and to isolate them immediately to stop the spreading of the virus.

In the meantime, three patients have fully recovered and were discharged. (PR of Ministry of Health/EN)
