Cabinet Secretary Upbeat Indonesia Will Become a Developed Country
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has called on all Indonesian people to move forward together to become a developed, prosperous and respectable country.
“Happy 75th Independence Day for Indonesia. Let us move together and protect our beloved country and to become a prosperous country. And a country respected by the world,” Pramono said in his statement on Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day in his office in Jakarta.
Indonesia, according to him, already has all the opportunities to emerge as a developed country.
“We are member of the G20, our GDP ranks 8th and our democracy has undergone a maturing process,” he said.
Nevertheless, he acknowledged there are still flaws here and there; however he expressed belief that those problems could be well resolved and Indonesia may become among those of developed countries as predicted by the IMF, the World Bank, or other world institutions.
“It is an opportunity for young people in Indonesia to contribute in the future,” Pramono said. (RFS / EN)
