Support the Corruption Eradication, Special Envoy of the Chinese President Meets President Jokowi

President Jokowi welcomes the Chinese President’s Special Envoy, Meng Jianzhu, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/2)

Special Envoy of the President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Meng Jianzhu, along with several members of the delegation visited President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/2) afternoon.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Tejo Edhy Purdijatno who accompanied President Jokowi at the meeting explained that China supports the efforts and commitment of Indonesia in the eradication of corruption, legal, and policy issues of cyber.

According to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security, similar with Indonesia, China has been known assertive and courageous in eradication of corruption. “The Commitment of President Jokowi, similar with the PRC Government is to eradicate of corruption,” In addition, China is also facing the problem of drug abuse.

The Government of PRC believes with the security and licensing process in Indonesia, which is indicated by offering investment and displacement some factories to Indonesia.

When asked about China’s commitment in terms of investment and infrastructure in Indonesia, Coordinating Minister said that China will also help Indonesia in terms of investment and moving some factories to Indonesia.

Accompanying President Jokowi on that occasion, besides of the Coordinating Minister for Politic, Justice, and Security  Tejo Edhy Purdijatno, also Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Jalil, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
