Arriving in Manila, President Jokowi Welcomed by the Vice President of the Philippines

President Jokowi welcomed by Vice President of the Philippines, Jejomar C. Binay on arrival at Manila airport, the Philippines, Sunday (8/2).

After state visit in Malaysia and Brunei, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by First Lady Iriana continue the state visit to Manila, the Philippines. The President and his entourage arrived at the airport Col. Jesus Villamor, Manila, the Philippines, on Sunday (8/2) at 17:00 local time.

The arrival President Jokowi welcomed by the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Jejomar C. Binay accompanied by the Foreign Minister Albert F. Del Rosario, and the Minister of Transport and Communications Francis N. Tolentinoi. While the Ambassador of Indonesian to the Philippines Johny J. Lumintang immediately welcomed President Jokowi at the door of the presidential plane.

Furthermore, the President headed Manila Diamond Hotel for overnight, and will re-conduct the state visit on Monday (9/2).

At while in the Philippines, President of Jokowi scheduled to visit Rizal Park Monument, conduct a meeting with the Indonesian community in the Philippines, and make a state visit to the Malacanang Palace.

The President is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President of the Philippines Benigno S. Aquino III. Furthermore, President of Jokowi will witness the signing of documents of cooperation between the government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, and conduct a joint press statement.

Accompanying President Jokowi in this working visit to the Philippines, among others, Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Jalil, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Manpower Hanif Dakhiri, Ministry of Trade Rahmat Gobel, and Chief BNP2TKI Nusron Wahid.
