Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia during the Mass Vaccination for Artists and Cultural Practitioners at the Bagong Kussudiardja Arts Center, Bantul Regency, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, 10 March 2021

This morning, Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee Airlangga Hartarto and I visited Bantul Regency, the Special Region of Yogyakarta. We visited the Bagong Kussudiardja Arts Center. This morning, as many as 517 artists, including musicians, dancers, fine artists, painters, traditional artists, and modern artists, have received their vaccinations. They got vaccinated and thank God, everything went well.

We know that this is a difficult situation, a situation that is not easy for art workers. But we must stay motivated so that those who work in the art field have the spirit to work. Despite the pandemic and restrictions, they never stop working to create art. With vaccination, we hope that all artists and art workers can be protected from COVID-19.
