Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

This afternoon I joined Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BPKM), Governor of Central Java province, Regent of Batang regency, board of directors of the state-owned plantation firm PTPN, and management board of Grand Batang City.

This is an industrial area that will be constructed on an area of 4.300 hectares. Now it has been prepared and the work completion reached almost 450 hectares that will be used for investment in sectors more related to technology. Therefore, today I inspected the readiness of this industrial area because in May the Government will performgroundbreaking for the glass industry. It will probably be the largest glass industry in Southeast Asia. Afterwards, there will be also the construction of precursors industry (chemical) and cathodes industry (lithium) that will begin to start in June or July inshallah and so on.

From a total of 4,300 hectares, currently an area of 450 hectares is ready to use. And I have ordered management board to immediately utilize and develop this area. We also expect that this industrial area will absorb as many workers as possible, provide as many job opportunities as possible, and make capital inflow to our country so that it will boost Indonesia’s national economic growth.

I will regularly check this industrial area because this vast area has very good competitiveness. This industrial area also will become a pilot of other industrial areas located in the provinces, both in Java and outside Java in the future.

That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion.

I thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh. (AP/EP)
