Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia during Inspection at Bulog Warehouse, 21 July 2021, Jakarta

First and foremost, I want to ensure that the national rice stock is sufficient. Earlier, President Director of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) said that the rice stock reached 1,373,000 tons. It means, our national stock is sufficient.

Second, I also want to check and control the rice assistance’s readiness that will be distributed to the people. I am pleased because the assistance has been distributed since last Friday in Jakarta and all provinces throughout Indonesia. So, it has already started and will continue. This assistance consists of 10 kilograms of rice.

We hope that the rice assistance can help the people amid the emergency public activity restrictions (Emergency PPKM). In addition to the rice assistance, there are also assistances in the forms of electricity subsidy, the Cash Social Assistance (BST), village funds direct cash assistance, internet quota subsidy, the Family Hope Program (PKH), and others
