Gov’t to Disburse Internet Data Assistance to 26.6 Million Students, Educators
In a bid to support the implementation of limited face-to-face learning and distance learning system, the Government has announced plan to disburse internet quota assistance for 26.6 million educators and students in Oktober 2021.
“The internet quota assistance will be disbursed to 26.6 million beneficiaries this October to support face-to-face learning which is carried out with a combined learning system integrated with other students doing online learning,” Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim said, Tuesday (12/10).
For the period of October, the internet quota assistance will be disbursed to 24.9 million students through mobile phone numbers of early childhood education school (PAUD) students and higher education students, as well as 1.73 million PAUD teachers and lecturers.
“The internet quota is distributed to mobile phone numbers that have been successfully verified and validated so that the assistance will be right on target,” Nadiem said.
According to Nadiem, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has also disbursed the internet quota assistance for 24.4 million beneficiaries in September.
“The number beneficiaries has increased by 2.2 million beneficiaries, higher than that in the previous month since there is an update of verified and validated mobile phone numbers,” he said.
All internet data quota assistance in 2021 is a general quota that can be used to access all pages and applications and those listed on the official website of Ministry of Education and Culture’s internet data quota assistance through http://kuota-belajar.kemdikbud.go.id except for pages or sites blocked by Ministry of Communications and Informatics.
“Don’t be easily provoked by false information. Trusted information is only issued by the official portal of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology,” he said.
