President Jokowi to Speak at World Leaders Summit on Forest and Land Use

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (02/11) is slated to speak at the World Leaders Summit on Forest and Land Use.

The event is part of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) held in the Scottish city of Glasgow, the United Kingdom.

“Tomorrow, the President’s schedule on the second day of the COP26 is being a speaker at the World Leaders Summit on Forest and Land Use,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi said in Glasgow, Monday (01/11).

Retno said that there will be three speakers at the meeting, namely Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom, President Ivan Duque of Colombia and the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Afterward, President Jokowi and his entourage will depart to the United Arab Emirates for a working visit to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially in the trade and investment sector. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (RI/MUR)
