President Jokowi to Inaugurate New TNI Commander, Army Chief of Staff
President Joko “Jokowi“ Widodo Wednesday (17/11) at the State Palace, Jakarta is slated to inaugurate Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa as the new Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI).
“The inauguration of TNI Commander, Insya Allah, will be held tomorrow on Wednesday (17/11/2021),” President Jokowi told journalists after inaugurating Section 1 of Serang-Rangkasbitung of Serang-Panimbang Toll Road at Rangkasbitung Toll Gate in Lebak regency, Banten province, Tuesday (16/11).
Besides inaugurating TNI Commander, the President will also inaugurate Army Chief of Staff, Head of the National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), and a number of Indonesian Ambassadors.
“The President will also inaugurate Army Chief of Staff, Head of the BNPB, and twelve Indonesian Ambassadors to friendly countries. The inauguration will be held on Wednesday, 17 November 2021 at 13.30 pm (Indonesian Western Time) at the State Palace,” Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono stated in his writing statement, Wednesday, (17/11).
In the meantime, Head of Presidential Secretariat explained that Army Chief of Staff will be assigned to Commander of Army Strategic Command (Pangkostrad) TNI Lieutenant General Dudung Abdurachman, while for the office of BNPB Head, the President will inaugurate TNI Mayor General Suharyanto who currently serves as Commander of the Military Command V/Brawijaya.
The twelve Indonesian Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary who will be inaugurated are:
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Italia, M. Prakosa;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Portugal, Rudy Alfonso;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Ukraine, Ghafur Akbar Dharmaputra;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Poland, Anita Luhulima;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Croatia, Suwartini Wirta;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to India, Ina Krisnamurti;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Canada, Daniel Tumpal Simanjuntak;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Tunisia, Zuhairi Misrawi;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Austria, Damos Agusman;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Heru Subolo;
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea, Gandi Sulistiyanto; dan
- Candidate for Indonesian Ambassador to Tanzania, Triyogo Jatmiko.
