This Afternoon, President Jokowi Paid a Courtesy Call and Lunch with Emperor Akihito

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana begins the series of state visit to Japan on Monday (23/3), with paid a courtesy call to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo.

The President and First Lady as well as the entourage arrived at the Imperial Palace at 11:35 local time (2 hours earlier than Jakarta), and welcomed by Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the front entrance of the Imperial Palace.

On the occasion, the President and the entourage will officially acquaint, and then continued by lunch with the Emperor and Empress.

Accompany the President in the entourage of courtesy call are: Coordinating  Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Ministry of Trade Rahmat Gobel, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanjo, Minister of SOEs Rini Soemarno. (Humas Setkab/ES)
