Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of Ngawi Big Market in Ngawi Regency, East Java Province, 17 December 2021

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Honorable Ministers, Governor of East Java, Regent of Ngawi,
Distinguished Guests,

Thank God, this afternoon we could witness that [the construction of] Ngawi Big Market has been completed and is ready for public use. This market was transformed into a modern market with a green building concept spanning a building area of ​​15,940 square meters with 291 kiosks, 244 stalls, and 20 dry stalls.

We hope this market can become a trading hub in Ngawi regency and must also be a push for economic mobility of people in the regency and its surroundings, as well as to accelerate economic recovery after the pandemic.

This concludes my remarks.
