Directives of President of the Republic of Indonesia on Stunting Reduction Acceleration Program (Live and Video Conference), in South Timor Tengah Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, March 24, 2022

I call on all regional heads, governors, regents, and mayors throughout the province of East Nusa Tenggara that human capital is very important in determining the advancement of a country. Therefore, all things related to stunting, nutrition, assisting the bride-to-be so that they know what to prepare before getting married, must be handled.  This also includes measuring, weighing the newborn babies, giving them supplementary feeding and nutritional food. Our target, in 2024, should be below 14 percent.

I am glad to see the [stunting] figures submitted by the regents and mayors earlier. I will check again later in 2023 and in 2024.

I also order all governors, regents, mayors throughout the country to achieve the target of reducing stunting rate to 14 percent.

And in my opinion, today’s activities are good to encourage us to achieve that target.
