Gov’t Launches InaExport to Support SMEs Exporters
Ministry of Trade has launched InaExport, a one-stop service platform for non-oil and gas export.
“Ministry of Trade has developed InaExport with the aim of making it a one-stop service platform for non-oil and gas export, and connecting and promoting Indonesian business players or exporters to international buyers. InaExport offers advantages not only in supporting sales, but also in supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to face the global market,” Vice Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga said during the soft launching of InaExport, Monday (04/11).
According to Jerry, the benefits for Indonesian exporters can be in the forms of training information and the latest information on trade fairs.
In addition, exporters also have a great opportunity to be registered and to be connected to potential buyers across the globe, he added.
“Together with all overseas trade representatives and buyer networks, InaExport aims to support sustainable business growth in a favorable ecosystem for all stakeholders,” he said.
As of today, he pointed out, 11,650 verified suppliers, 6,121 products, 534 market information, 27 activities, and 48 international representatives have been recorded in the InaExport system, adding that the figure is expected to continue to grow.
Jerry also expressed hope that the new normal would become momentum to accelerate the digital economy in Indonesia, adding that digital consumers has increased from 69.5 percent before the pandemic to 79.7 percent in 2021, while digital sellers are also increasingly familiar with technological developments.
“The contribution of digital economy in 2021 will reach Rp 632 trillion or 4 percent of Indonesia’s gross domestic product. Despite the relatively small numbers, the growth is very fast,” Jerry said.
In the meantime, Ministry of Trade’s Director General for National Export Development Didi Sumedi explained that InaExport began with the presence of Buyer Reception Desk (BRD) in the 1970s.
Didi added that trade representatives have made efforts to bring international buyers to meet in person with export-ready business players and in 2013 the Ministry’s Directorate General for National Export Development developed a Customer Service Center Membership (CSC) system for the Directorate General, providing online and offline services for business players on export related information.
