President Jokowi Kicks Off East Java Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (04/20) headed to East Java province for a working visit.

The President took off from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang city, Banten province onboard BAe-RJ85 aircraft at around 07.15 Western Indonesian Time with a limited entourage.

Upon arrival at Trunojoyo Airport in Sumenep regency, the President is set to inspect and inaugurate said airport and give social assistance to beneficiaries at several markets in the regency.

Afterward, the President and his entourage will continue their trip to Sidoarjo regency onboard the same aircraft from Trunojoyo Airport.

Shortly after arriving at Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo, the President will go straight to the East Java capital of Surabaya to attend the Launching of State-Owned Holding Defense Enterprise Defend ID and Its Strategic Programs.

The President is also scheduled to give social assistance to beneficiaries in a number of locations in Surabaya.

To conclude the working visit to East Java province, the President is slated to visit Gresik regency to give social assistance in some locations in the regency.

The President and his entourage are to return to Jakarta from Juanda International Airport onboard Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft.

Joining the President in the flight to East Java province were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (DH/MMB)
