President Jokowi Transits in Amsterdam before Heading to Washington
After having approximately 14.5 hours flight, Garuda Indonesia GIA-1 aircraft that took President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Ibu Iriana Jokowi, and the entourage arrived at Schipol International Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on Tuesday (05/10) at 17.20 local time or 22.20 Western Indonesian Time.
President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mayerfas and then they proceeded to the lounge. Accompanying President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi, and Minister of Investment / Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia.
President Jokowi and the entourage had a transit for about two hours while waiting for the aircraft’s fuel tank to be loaded. Afterwards, President Jokowi and the entourage headed to Washington DC, USA, and it was estimated that they would arrive at Andrews Military Base, Washington DC, at 21.30 local time (05/10), or at 08.30 Western Indonesian Time (05/11).
