President Jokowi Distributes Social Assistance at Sukamandi Market
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (07/12) began his working visit in West Java province by visiting Sukamandi Market, Subang regency.
On that occasion, the President greeted several market vendors and distributed cash assistance to beneficiaries to spur economic growth in the communities after the pandemic.
“We just handed over additional working capital for micro-enterprises, market vendors, and street vendors. The assistance is important for economic growth in the post-pandemic era,” the President said.
In addition to distributing social assistance to small businesses, the Head of State also distributed cash assistance to beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program who run a home-based business.
“We provided additional capital worth Rp1.2 million for those who run their businesses at home,” he said.
The President also expressed hope that the assistance can improve people’s purchasing power and boost economic growth in the area.
“We do not expect a decline in people’s purchasing power. A budget surplus from the state budget, taxes, non-tax state revenue (PNBP), and export levies should be allocated to the people at the grassroots level to increase the purchasing power,” the President remarked.
