President Jokowi Inaugurates Permanent Houses for W. Nusa Tenggara’s Seroja Cyclone Victims
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/29) inaugurated permanent houses for victims of Seroja tropical cyclone disaster, in Tambe village, Bima regency, West Nusa Tenggara province.
The President expressed hope that the residents can now have a better place to live.
“We hope that these houses will become a beautiful housing compound. It looks definitely better than the old ones,” said the President.
The compound was built in a new location far from the riverbank. It is also equipped with various public facilities that can support the daily activities of the residents.
President Jokowi further said that there are 185 houses built in Bima regency and 107 houses in Dompu regency. “Everything had been completed and earlier we also handed over the certificates, the house and the certificates,” he said. (FID/UN) (EST/MUR)
