President Jokowi Visits Solo Technopark

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (01/23) visited Solo Technopark (STP) in Surakarta city, Central Java province.

Upon arriving at the location, the President was greeted by Chairperson of the Solo Technopark, Yudit Cahyantoro, and inspected a number of facilities at the venue.

“The President visited the Solo Technopark to see the development in the science and technology area, including new buildings named the Sembrani Building and the Gumarang Building,” Yudit said.

Yudit went on to say that the two buildings would later be used as office centers, business incubation centers, micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) development centers, and other community services in the city of Solo.

Solo Technopark is a facility owned by Surakarta city Government as an innovation and vocational center to improve regional competitiveness. It serves as a hub for integration and collaboration between academia, business, government, community and the media.

“The President extended his appreciation for Solo Technopark and expressed hope that Solo Technopark can become a role model for national techno parks in Indonesia,” he said.

Yudit also expressed hope that the Solo Technopark science and technology area can continue to develop in the future.

“We hope that it can continue to become the center of the digital ecosystem in the city of Surakarta,” Yudit remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RI/LW)
