President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (04/03) inaugurated Ario Bimo Nandito “Dito” Ariotedjo as Minister of Youth and Sports at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 26/P of 2023 on the Installment of Minister of Youth and Sports of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet for 2019-2024 Period.

 “I do solemnly swear by God that I pledge my allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will uphold all laws and regulations in an honest manner for my service to the nation and state. I will uphold the code of ethics and be fully responsible in carrying out my duties,” Dito stated while taking his oath, which was read by President Jokowi during the inauguration.

Dito Ariotedjo was appointed by the President to succeed his predecessor Zainudin Amali, who was elected as Deputy Chief of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI).

For the record, Ministry of Youth and Sports appointed Dito as Indonesia’s Chef de Mission (CdM) for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. (TGH/UN) (AP/MUR)
