President Jokowi Kicks Off East Java Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo (04/06) headed to East Java province for a working visit.

The President took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta at around 07.10 Western Indonesia Time.

Upon arrival at around 08.00 Western Indonesia Time, the President and his entourage continued their trip to

Tuban regency onboard the Air Force’s Super Puma helicopter.

Afterward, the President is scheduled to visit the Food Sovereign Area of the Indonesian Farmers Union in Senori village, Merakurak district, to plant rice and have dialogues with several local farmers.

The President is also scheduled to greet and hand over social assistance to the traders in Sambonggede market.

After completing the agenda, the President and his entourage will head back to Juanda International Airport onboard the same helicopter before returning to Jakarta. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (KA/RIF)
