President Jokowi Hands Over “Eid Allowance” to Market Traders in Depok

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (04/13) visited Tugu Palsigunung Market located in Cimanggis district, Depok city, West Java province to check the prices of necessities and hand over assistance to traders in the market.

A trader at the market, Kurnaesih, said that she was pleased to receive assistance from President Jokowi and will use the assistance to increase her stock.

“Thank God, I got an Eid allowance. God willing, it will be used to increase my stock. Thank you very much for the allowance. Hopefully, it will be a blessing,” she said.

In addition to Kurnaesih, a chili trader named Kinan also received assistance from President Jokowi. The trader said that the assistance will be utilized for Eid needs and to travel back to her hometown.

Similarly, a trader named Riko stated that he would share the assistance with his employees. He also expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi.

“I will share it with my employees. Hopefully, Mr. Jokowi will be in good health and be able to lead a better Indonesia in the future,” Riko said.

In addition to traders, the surrounding community who also visited the market also received the assistance. One of them was Tri who felt very excited and enthusiastic about the President’s visit.

Meanwhile, Sri Hidayat, a resident of Tugu Market, said that she deliberately came to meet the President. She also received assistance to be used for her husband’s medical expenses.
