President Jokowi Kicks Off Lampung Working Visit
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is slated to inspect a number of traditional markets and road projects during working visit to Lampung province on Friday (05/05).
The President landed at Radin Inten II International Airport, South Lampung regency, at around 08.05 Western Indonesia Time.
He will first visit the Natar traditional market in South Lampung regency. After that, the President will inspect a number of roads in Lampung province by car.
In his statement at the Sarinah shopping center, Jakarta, on Thursday (05/04), the President said that road infrastructure is very important because it will support the mobility of goods and people.
“Once the road is damaged – especially the production road – it will disrupt the flow of commodity, the mobility of people and goods. Moreover, logistics costs will increase so that it cannot compete with other provinces, other regions or other countries,” the President explained.
For this reason, during this working visit, the President would like to ensure that road infrastructure in Lampung province can have a good impact on the people. (BPMI) (EST/MUR)
